“Why does man kill? He kills for food. And not only food: frequently there must be a beverage.” – Woody Allen.
Indeed, with every travel to foreign lands, I find it important to try out the local food and beverages, particularly, their national booze. Each trip I attempt to complete a check list of the following:
1) Well-known restaurants that seem to be the first thing you see when you type in “food” + “-insert destination-” in Google,
2) Local food joints that you only hear about from the sales representatives you find yourself chatting to while shopping,
3) Street food that you come across unexpectedly while searching for the nearest restroom,
4) Local beers/cocktails/liquors/spirits that you would not be able to get back home.
Hence in this section of this blog, I hope to review some of the places I have had the opportunity to bite down on some tasty burgers or gulp down on some home-brews or sip on some Sake Mojitos.
